"Stay"cation 2012

This summer was a little bit different for us and our vacations....We now had a 6 month old and a newly turned 2 year old just in time for summer vacation!! These aren't the greatest ages to travel with, I was NOT looking forward to going anywhere with 2 babies, especially long distance, so we ended up staying in San Diego for a 6 day "stay"cation. It worked out well and we were able to enjoy some kid friendly, family fun activities with our little ones:-) The Del Mar Fair was in town so we decided to give that a shot on our first day!  Bentley went on the rides by himself for the very 1st time and was our little Mr. Independent♥

The next day we headed down to the Hyatt Regency at Mission Bay. They have a great pool with water slides and it's right on the beach! We all had an amazing time.   Bentley loved going down the water slide, over and over again, and was happy just hanging out in the pool all day with Daddy:-)  Scarlett and I relaxed in our lounge chairs and Mommy enjoyed a nice margarita or two...now that's my type of vacation;-)  They also have a water taxi that takes you straight to Seaworld, we took full advantage of that!!

Seals on way to Seaworld:-)

The room had an AMAZING view

The following days were spent at the beach house with Andy's family.  It's about 20 minutes from us, so we were able to go home at night and have the kids sleep in their own beds! We spent a couple of days on the sand and in the water and had our fair share of fun in the sun:-)

Finally, on our last day of vaycay, we took the kids to the Air and Space Museum at Balboa Park.  We knew Bentley would love seeing airplanes up close♥

Andy's turn for some fun:-)

Yes, that is Mr. Moo flying in the jet...

Scarlett's Baptism

My baby is officially a baptized Catholic with the rest of her family♥ This was such a perfect day for the beautiful ceremony that was performed for her.  She has two incredible Godparents in her Auntie Bree and Uncle Mike. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends to love and support our children.  We made it a small gathering this time around and had a nice luncheon afterwards. A special day that will forever be celebrated♥

Scarlett 8 1/2 months

We are quickly approaching the 9 months in, 9 months out anniversary for Scarlett, and it is a little bitter-sweet for me, as I feel I was jipped on my 9th month of pregnancy. Scarlett arrived one month early. It might be hard to understand, but I can physically feel that I am missing 1 month of her life somewhere, but at the same time, I am very thankful that God has blessed my with this beautiful, sweet baby girl in the first place♥
At this point, Scarlett is managing to get around every way imaginable, besides crawling! I was actually expecting that she would be an early crawler like her brother, but that is just not the case.  Although she does get up on all fours and rock back and forth, so she is almost there!! She can stand for days and is even starting to reach out and step over, or cruise as you call it, which is pretty impressive:-) I can no longer feed her baby food, she will ONLY feed herself.  Scarlett is a very independent baby and can get along just fine playing with toys by herself.  She loves taking things in and out of boxes, observing the cats, wrestling with her big bro and drinking from her big girl cup:) Her favorite foods are string cheese and graham crackers. She is quite possibly the world's mellowest/happiest baby! Nothing phases her, she NEVER cries and always has a big smile on her face:-) We love our sweet starlet Scarlett♥♥
